Girlfriend pregnant getting married in July how hard is it for her to get citizenship?

I am a US citizen and I want her to be able to stay and have our baby. She only has a tourist visa.Girlfriend pregnant getting married in July how hard is it for her to get citizenship?
After you get married you should file for I-130 for her and she should file for Adjustment of Status (I-485).If approved she will be given a Conditional Green Card (2-years).She can only apply for citizenship after 3 years of being a Permanent Resident, if she completed the residency requirement and she remained married to you.Otherwise, it will be 5 years before she can apply for citizenship.Girlfriend pregnant getting married in July how hard is it for her to get citizenship?
Marrying her will not give her citizenship outright. Conditional permanent residency, maybe. Yes you may marry, just make sure it is within the validity of her stay. Then immediately start on the paperwork to petition your spouse. As to whether she can stay in the US while your petition is in process, that is the gray area. Ask a competent immigration professional as they can give you the best course of action. Remember, getting married on a B2 is already a violation of the conditions of the visa.
Hi Anthony,

get married quick.

THEN do the paperwork!

Reason: people trying to enter the USA to get married will often be refused entry on the pretext that it's an arranged marriage just to get US residence rights. If, however, you're already married, they are blocked from doing any of this.

My son is well linked to people in this state and knows all the horror stories. I once talked to an immigration lawyer in Ohio who confirmed this. Married ones must be let in by law. Unmarried ones with a declared intention of getting married to a US citizen will be refused entry.

So, repeat: Get a special licence and get married before her tourist visa expires. Then make an application for residence rights.

You can always do the grand wedding later as a repeat event

Blessed be

Girl friend pregnant, gets a tourist visa, comes to US, gets married and attempts to adjust status. Sounds like visa fraud! 10 years federal prison? Why not do it the legal way? They have visas for that!

You WILL be investigated for visa fraud!
have her take some classes at the community college and she should get in a little easier as well i know that for sure i had a friend who was ready to get deported and then he took some classes and it was a breeze for citizenship
file and make sure she follows any time requirements on leaving to keep her in good status. go to uscis.gov for details.

It depends on the country.
Is she on a tourist visa (B-2) or a Visa waiver .. there is a diffence
