Indian male getting married to bangladeshi citizen and to get indian citizenship fr the girl?

I am an indian citizen whos planning to get married to a girl from bangladesh here in india, After marriage she automatically becomes an indian citizen or we need to do some formalities also tell what needs to be done for the same and where it needs to be done from.

Persons who are married to a citizen of India and who are ordinarily resident in India for SEVEN YEARS before making application under section 5(1)(c) of the Citizenship Act, 1955 for citizenship by registration. However on the basis of such foreigner marrying person of Indian citizenship can apply for ';PIO CARD'; i.e. Person of Indian origin card either from the Indian Embassy of the foreign country or if such person is India on long visa, can apply through Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A valid marriage certificate issued by the Marriage officer/registrar under the Foreign Marriage Act, 1969 if such marriage takes place between Indian citizen %26amp; a foreigner in a foreign country OR under the Special Marriage Act, 1955 if such marriage takes place in India will be required for all such official formalities such as PIO card, immigration %26amp; citizenship etc.Indian male getting married to bangladeshi citizen and to get indian citizenship fr the girl?
I am an indian who has done what you're about to do 4 yrs back.I spent 2 yrs in india with my b'desh spouse being on back to back x-visa.I do not see any issues in your spouse getting this.however the law of the land doesnt allow b'desh spouses to seek employment 'officially'.So i chose not to sit out my wife for 7 yrs before she can apply for citizenshipand relocated to usa.





The foreign ministry in delhi also had told me it has to be continious stay of 7 yrs and not interrupted.Also please be aware that Bdesh and Pakistan is excluded from the PIO route so eventhough similar to ur case my spouse's dad was an indian she doesnt qualify.
