When graduating from a college program, is it appropriate for a married adult to send out announcements?

I am graduating from nursing school and am trying to figure out if I should send out graduation announcements as well as invitations. What is the proper etiquette for such? And how do I word it appropriately?When graduating from a college program, is it appropriate for a married adult to send out announcements?
You did all of this work to graduate. Why shouldn't you send announcements? Congrats! I am sure your fam and friends will be proud. I don't think it matters if you are married. They usually have those sort of things you can buy through a company affliated with the school.When graduating from a college program, is it appropriate for a married adult to send out announcements?
Congrats to you !

I myself is an RN, although retired. It takes a tremendous energy, commitment to graduate from a nursing school of 4 year program.

Now you have done it as a married person which is much more challenging to accomplish the degree. Therefore, you ought to send out announcements as well as invitations.

I would not alter any word appropriate for graduates, young, single or married.

However you would like to express will be acceptable, no excuses or explanations of your marital status will be necessary. And I'm certain that your family and friends are already aware of your status, don't they ? They will be thrilled to hear from you and invited as well, if I were one of the invitees.

Celebrate in style ! :):}
I wouldn't worry about the ';proper'; etiquette in this case. You accomplished something great for yourself, and I am sure your friends and family would want to hear about it. Married or not, furthering your education benefits you, your family, your children, and in this case all of your future patients.
Yes! It is definitely appropriate. Just be selective about who you send it to. As a matter of fact, there is a new website for exactly this purpose call www.amigram.com.

Amigram.com is a free website for people to post and send announcements for engagements, weddings, births, anniversaries, graduations, new pets, promotions, new businesses and other important milestones. The site enables people to share their happy announcements without having to build their own website, pay for a newspaper listing, or let their relatives onto their facebook account.

With all the doom and gloom circulating these days, your friends and family will appreciate some good news.

Congratulations on your graduation!
