If an American married someone who had a dual citizenship, how would that work for the American?

I'm an American. If I married a man who had a dual citizenship with America and another country, would I also obtain dual citizenship through marriage? If an American married someone who had a dual citizenship, how would that work for the American?
No. Your spouse's dual citizenship (or single citizenship) has nothing to do with your citizenship.

I know a man who is a U.S. Citizen and married a Chinese Woman. They have been married for a couple of years, but he has to travel to China to visit her several times a year while they wait for her opportunity to immigrate.

Marriage does not have any impact on her non-citizenship. She has to go through all the regular channels just like everyone else who wants to immigrate. Oh, unless you want to come across our southern border, that is.If an American married someone who had a dual citizenship, how would that work for the American?

No
No, you need to apply for the duel citizenship with his name. which would be easier.
You didn't say what the citizenship of the man you plan to marry is. Are you and he looking for dual benefits when the time comes? Without knowing more of this story, I would say select what Country you want to be a citizen of, and forget this dual citizenship unless you are having problems with the law that you need this type of coverage.
It would be possible to get if he was living in his other country and if you were planing to live with him there.
No, it doesn't affect you at all.

You will have to apply for a citizenship in his country only if you want so you can have dual citizenship.
no but you'd be better educated by default....
